It is definitely worth reading as a spring board to explore further specific subjects on racial equality, censorship and the rise of corporations within the American dream. This was also an attempt to convince the older generation that rock 'n' roll was not as sexually-charged as they believed. This book was extremely readable and understandable with a lot of examples of musicians that were big names at the time.
